Dear Doctor Kehoe:
I have a copy of your excellent report; on "A Study of the Hazards of Cleaning Gasoline Storage Tanks" which was made by Dr. Machle and yourself* I have noted its contents with a great deal of interest and I am sure that the information therein will be of considerable value to us*
Since you have made this exhaustive study, I would like to know if you consider a lead hazard present in the cleaning of tank cars used to carry leaded gasoline and what precautions you would re commend be taken in cleaning tank cars* I believe that the lead hazard in tank cars had previously been considered negligible by the management of The Ethyl Gasoline Corporation. Possibly, your recent study would indicate that there may be a lead hazard present and that we should take the proper precautions*
Thanking you for any information that you can give me on this subject, I am
Very truly yours.
