Kehoe, M.D., Kettering Laboratories, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio* Dear Doctor Kehoe: I have a copy of your excellent report; on "A Study of the Hazards of Cleaning Gasoline Storage Tanks" which was made by Dr. Machle and yourself* I have noted its contents with a great deal of interest and I am sure that the information therein will be of considerable value to us* Since you have made this exhaustive study, I would like to know if you consider a lead hazard present in the cleaning of tank cars used to carry leaded gasoline and what precautions you would re commend be taken in cleaning tank cars* I believe that the lead hazard in tank cars had previously been considered negligible by the management of The Ethyl Gasoline Corporation.
