MIL-I-2819 Par. 1, 2 Classification - Change to read as follows; Grade 2 Temperatures up to 600F Grade II - Temperatures up to 1200F Grade HI - Temperatures up to 1500F Grade IV - Temperatures up to 2000F FEDERAL SPECIFICATION ISI-I-523 It was reported that Bob Lyons of GSA had indicated that this specification would not contain "expanded silica". The following changes were agreed to: Par. 3. 4. 2. 1 - Delete the flame spread classification for canvas jackets. Par. 3.4.3 - Use wordage used in specification dated September 23. 1964. Change "vapor barrier* to "moisture barrier" Par. 3.4.4 - Change to read "...not more than 1 perm through the laminate. #3# The thickness of the aluminum foil was thought to be too thin by some members. No suggested tidclmess was agreed to at this time. This subject will be pursued further. FEDERAL SPECIFICATION HH-B-00I00 Comments relative to this specification are to be sent to the NIVA office. STRESS CORROSION OF AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL It was agreed that NIMA should establish a position relative to this subject. Each company is to write to NIMA relative to their company's position pertaining to this problem prior to June 1( I960. NIMA will summarise and circulate to the Committee defining the significance of the problem as it relates to insulation. DEFENSE SUPPLY AGENCY LETTER & was agrees that comments on the letter dated March 2d, 1966, would be made thru NIMA. Each company is to send their comments to the NIMA office prior to May 15, 1966.
