W 8 and Qlose White a2 W U nade in Cleveland factor/ using Oside 30P zinc oxide. Batch of P/C Hi-Level BLt6 W L in pro cess. Paints nade with sine oxide have less flow tnan those nade with leaded sine. Competitive sine oxides appear no better. Flow control ac'ent (Rheotol) used in Kaa-Glo successfully for years now being considered at \j level. Total raw material increase in 12 W 3 approximately 3*J d/gal. which includes 2 i for flow control agent. A2 W Li, 2li6 W li and 2L6 N lit would be similar. Label analysis on large volume items A2 W 8, A2 W 1i and BLi6 'A U distributed. 3L6 l!i In process. II. Premium 'Jndercoaters - Analysis and formula written for A2 u 5 to replace SVP A2 W 2, and A100 undercoatars A6 V/ J2 and A6 W 39 ,-Lth sane' formula as P/C Bit6 tf 31. III. Oil Type Tints - Four colors to be converted to West Coast alkyd type, Chelsea Gray A2 A 20, Sage A2 0 39, Sandpiper A2 A 57 and Peace yellow A2 I 50. Formulas in existence. 17. Alkyd Type Colors - Progress being nade In obtaining through dry at lower temperature*. Zirconium dries appears helpful and an attempts is being nade to keep cost increases to a rdslnum. Drying tests indicate darkest colors will require sane substitution of shorter Ken-Olo alkyd (39 67 50) for currant Tall oil alkyd (39 73 53). V. Colors with Lead Pigmenta - American Heritage Color Kings Tellow A2 T 56 appear* impractical to convert to nm-ctame pi;,-i*,nts because of excess cost. Berkley Tallow A2 T 16 similar status. Ardmore Green A2 0 12, and Vardas Green A2 S 33 appear hopeful. Leather- stocking Green A2 G 5l in doubt. 71. Special Primers - Galvite A57 A 15 * no problems anticioatsd.
