Hickey: I am sending you herewith the analytical report on a sample of blood which was received on M arch 24, and that apparently was labeled with the namefl^HH* We have no history on this man, and therefore I am unable to make any interpretation of the result other than to point out that there is a very slight evidence of lead exposure above normal levels. We rarely find values in excess of 0.04 mg. per 100 grams in unexposed persons. 'Values of 0.05 do occur, however, once in a while and values of 0.06 are not wholly unknown in normal persons, although we believe that such values are the result either of contamination of the sample or of slight variations in analytical technique. There was no urine sample in this case, and this led me to wonder whether this sample had been properly labeled inasmuch as we had previousl^advised you that a sample from one of your other men was received broken. I have no doubt you are very busy, but when you can find the time, I would appreciate it if you would supply me with the clinical records on the men from whom samples have been ob tained .
