The 21 X 55 gallon drums of CDP arid tho 0 drums of Aroclor 1242 may bo returned on the iollovjing basic: " Material of specification quality in unopened con tainers originally shipped to you within one year may be accepted for return subject to inspection upon arrival at our plant. Credit will be based on the price in effect at the date of sale, less 10% to cover handling costs. The material is to be returned on a freight prepaid basis and any outbound freight paid by Monsanto will be deducted from tho credit" The 97 drums of Aroclor 1232 and the 39 drums of Aroclor 1249 present a different situation. Both have been discontinued and as a result have no value to us. Be will however, agree to accept the 97 drums of Aroclor 1232 at 25% of the original cost, freight prepaid to our plant. The reason for this con cession on our part is that we can salvage this material and use it as a raw material and to up-grade rnd further process into one of our electrical fluids. The 39 drums of Aroclor 1248 have no value and should be dis posed of properly in order to avoid possible pollution problems. V'e have been incinerating this material and continue to have the capability to arrange to incinerate this material for you.
