FOREWORD
The National Safety Council represents the co-operative industrial' and public safety effort of virtually 1,000 ;mem bora: including indus trial concerns, governmental departments, insurance companies, schools and individuals. These members/ corporate lan d ; private,'"havei as their combined purpose the promotion o f ;healths safety-and sanita tion in the industrial, public and home life of the nation.
No greater inspiration to " carry on ' ' nor more thorough collec tive inform ation on accident prevention can bo ; obtained than by participation in th e Council's annual safety congreeees. ",
This volume which represents the pi oceedinga of the Thirteenth
Annual Safety Congress is not a " proceedings" insofar as a detailed
report of the minutes of every meeting is concoraed. The graceful -
introductions of chairmen and th eir ^skillful drawing' out : of discus-;:
sion and debate which added so much to th e L ie and color of th e '
meetings themselves, have been curtailod of necessity. B ut herein ;
is contained the meat and juice, the taste of which was enhanced
by th at intelligent basting.
W. K. CAMERON, ,
Managing Director.
