j... we went to court, where the Sierra Club has filed a Freedom of Information Act suit to obtain communications from the Department of Energy (DOE) with third-party groups, including fossil fuel groups, about the development of DOE's muchanticipated electric grid study.
Out in the West, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit is set to schedule a November oral argument to consider the oil industry's challenge to Oregon's lowcarbon fuel standard (LCFS), which if successful could lead the Supreme Court to review an earlier ruling by the circuit court that upheld California's LCFS.
And over at EPA, our daily news roundup looked at a report that EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is doing much of his work to roll back major Obama-era climate and other environmental regulations in secret, with the help of a small group of political appointees.
