EPA ED_001523_00000536-00002 We wanted to alert you that we had a great meeting with Dave Banks yesterday at the White House. We laid out all of the same issues as in our meeting, and emphasized the strong equities for US manufacturing, US exports, and continued US aviation industry and regulatory primacy that would be supported by an EPA rule enacting the ICAO standards. He clearly got it and pledged his support, as needed. He also understood the questions posed by Administrator Pruitt around some of the procedural and legal issues and will be interested to hear our feedback on those once they are fully developed. We expect to be able to come back to the Administrator, and you, by early September with our collective analysis. We hope you are able to find a little time to grab some vacation in August and we look forward to gathering again after Labor Day.
