Cape 0W8. All three of these fibers showtd equal strangth in blaada with Lake &T3 at 1:4 by weight, although all were allghtly lower than the 1000 ^T-3 control. The BT/AC fiber con tributed the highest filtration improvaaant at 17.40. An intsresting filtration comparison waa mada by including a recently tested Cape fiber, grade S-80, with the subject blue fibers. The S-oO blue had been previously .reported (my aeaorandun of August 21, 1968) to have is^roved slurry filtration rate by about 330 In thaaa taats, using a different control, the improvement waa 290.
