I am very exci ted about the changes that are bei ng made in the regul atory communi ty to incorporate new approach methods (NAMs) into chemical risk assessments. In particular, the recent statements of the offices under OCSPP (OPP, OPPT, and the EDSP program) regarding incorporation of NAMs into the decisionmaki ng processes have been ground-breaki n g . Your offi ce has cl early embraced the transi ti on toward nonani mal alternati v e s , while mai ntai ni ng a commi tment to use the best sci ence toward the goal of ensuri ng public health.
