Plenum Chamber Tests Report No. 2332-22
Enclosed are the results of a series of controlled environmental tests between LTX-144 and Megaloid Detox H-l asbestos products to determine airborne fiber emissions.
Both products were agitated on a derrick pan vibrator to simulate handling of the material. Monitoring of the atmosphere within the chamber was a constant 15 minutes for each. One control was run prior to the comparison.
Megaloid Detox H-l is a gray pelletized material approximately 1/16 of an inch in average diameter. The asbestos is designated JM 7RF9. LTX-144 is a premix of RG-144 in diisodecyl phlalate (DIDP).
Airborne fiber concentrations were determined by the membrane filter method using phase contrast light microscopy.
