Recently I have just discussed this case with Bill Shultz your personnel manager at the Container Division located in San Leandro, California. I have reviewed this man's personnel file and have marked several items for photo copy for my file. Mr. Shultz advised me that you have also requested this in formation from him, and he is sending you the additional information that I have selected from the file which he did not send you. In discussing the cause of death as you outlined in your letter, I discussed the possibility of asbestos exposure with Mr. Shultz. He advised me that, during his employment with your company was not exposed to any asbestos accord ing to Bill Shultz. If there is some way of documenting this fact that no asbestos has ever;/ been used or is currently in your plant in San Leandro, I think that our exposure in this matter is minimal, if any. I will be working with Mr. Shultz in trying to develope documentation to this effect to support our contention and advise the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of this in a petition for dismissal in a joint" party at the appropriate time regarding this matter.
