Attached .in table for::: are the results of our examination of a number of V.'GK products for c on t arr. in at i o n by polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's). This infornation was needed to establish possible contamination from residual Aroclors in the Thorninol units. The analyses were perfoinned on samples of products produced v;ithin the last thirty (30) days. Because of the structural similarity between o-dichlorobensene (ODCB) and the polychlorinated biphenyls wo have been unable to adapt current 'PCB methodology to ODCB. Scott Tucher of Organic Research v:as also unable to provide any immediate help with regard to a suitable analytical approach. In addition, we have 'seen unable to conclude our analysis of Santophen-1 due to severe and persistent chromatograph!c Interferences. Standard techniques employed to remove such interferences were unsuccessful in this instance. V.'e also have no alternate analytical approach for this product at present. In all cases the basic PCB method was employed, however certain modifications were required to adapt the method to the particular product. It should be pointed out that tine .did not permit us to evaluate the efficiency of the procedures used.
