(I believe you have a cony or copies of the first of our reports cn tctrawethyllead, but I have not taken the trouble to check). In any case the second (the Interim Report) will bear some testimony to my statement concerning the concentrations of lead in the urine of some filling station attendants in Los .Angeles. The final report, which is being assembled now, will provide data on the blood of the persons investigated before and after their experience with gasoline containing tetramethyllead. The monograph referred to in the ''References'' cited in the Statement will be available soon, for it is now in press, and when it is available I*11 be pleased to send you a copy. If for any reason you would like to have an additional copy or two of any of the attached reports, let me know. The statement of your Department, as made by John Maga indicated that you have found evidence of the effect of smoking on the absorption of lead.
