Reviewed Hourly Safety Committee Meeting. 2. Ladder Practices C a. Schwab has asked Purchasing to get standards and practices from manu facturers. b. Reviewed extension ladder practices at Chocolate Bayou, Queeny, and Krummrich. c. SHAC will get film on ladder practices to get more information to for mulate suggestions for Texas City practices. Film available from Media Arts, P. 0. Box 242, Alvin, TX 77511. 3. Safety Shower and Evebath Practices and Identification Reviewed identification practices at Chocolate Bayou, Queeny, and Krummrich. Jon Bullock who looks after design standards for Texas City will have the rough drafts of specifications on showers and eyebaths ready for SHAC review by September 1. The Chocolate Bayou practice of highlighting walkway to showers was felt worthy for adaptation. 4. 1982 Annual Inspection Guidelines a. Should avoid any wasteful practices such as discarding materials diffi cult to store or spending extra money on clean up. b. Guidelines to include no overtime for laborers, painters, etc. Emphasis will be good housekeeping on a daily basis, d. Housekeeping required for good safety should be done, e. No refreshments or extra goodies for the inspectors. f. Picnic should be evaluated at year end dependent on our safety performance for 1982. g. Inspection will concentrate on safety practices. 5. Annual Inspection Theme "Safety without Cosmetics" is recommended as the annual theme for 1982. 6. Next Meeting Agenda - August 11, 1982 (No Meeting August 4) . - D. D. Kos will get Carpenter Foremen and Leadmen to make suggestions on ladder practices at August 11 meeting. - Continue with looking at safety shower eyebath identification. - Address FMSB highlights. - Further discussion of Annual Inspection. - Address publication of safety activities at Texas City.
