I have no idea ju3t what your practical problems are* but we shall be glad to talk them over with you, and if vs can do it, we shall certainly be glad to make arrangements toward the end of conducting such investigations. I would suggest that you visit us to discuss this some time during the week of October 20, or in the following week. Almost any day during this period would be satisfactory to me with the exception of Tuesday, October 21, when I shall be tied up completely. If you will let me know' when you can come, giving me one or two alternate dates, I shall reply by return mail. In the matter of the fellowship I enclose herewith a general outline of the course, and a statement of our program. Printed bulletins will be In our hands within a few days, but the mimeographed material will probably answer for present purposes. He are naming each fellowship for the company that lias sponsored It, if the company so desires; otherwise we are naming them "University Fellowships in Industrial Medicine." It is our hope that a number of these will be continued and renewed from year to year, with, of course, the understanding that any one of them can be withdrawn at the end of any calendar year. However, since each Fellow', if he does his work successfully, will be continued through a two-year period, it is desirable, of course, that any grant be made applicable for a twoyear period. I shall be glad to explain these matters to you in somewhat greater detail at the time of your visit.
