After subcommittee review, we forwarded AMS 3839C, 3840C, 3842C, 3843B and 3858C to the Textile Division of FSA care of Bill McAllister. The AMS 3232L with some specification modication could be revised to allow replacement. These modifications are primary related to asbestos or are replaced by more common tests. Prevision needed: 3.1 3.1.1 3.2.2 3.2.3 4.5.1 Drop references to asbestos fiber and felted together. Drop reference to any color. Fuel A is still in use but more reference is made to Fuel B. Oil #1 is still in use but more reference is made to Oil #3. Chloride Content - We propose that our recommended practices measuring chloride is used.
