1. Dust Collector. Asbastoa dust falls fro* tba cleanout door, located above the work area, when tba screw conveyor becomes plugged and cleaning *.1 required. Infor mation obtained from a representative of tbe Engineering Department indicates that lapcovenant of existing equip ment is planned. We ware informed that a decrease la tbe speed of material transferring from the collector to the conveyor is contemplated in an effort to balance tbe system.

Periodic Industrial Hygiene Survey
The periodic industrial hygiene survey conducted in the Chemical Products and Friction Materials operations at Trenton on October 19, 1970, showed that low levels of illumination were recorded at several locations in the plant. We have been upgrading the illumination throughout the plant on a general basis and will continue this pro gram to improve the lighting at the Baker-Perkins, Bramley mixer, Adamson rubber mill and in the pilot plant, in Chemical Products, as well as along the loading line in Bay B-6 at Friction Materials.
The control of the excessive noise levels at the cutter tables and the brake lining grinder, in the Friction Materials plant, has not been accomplished, however, acoustical ear muffs have been pro vided for employees working nearby to wear until the noise level, created at these operations, can be reduced to an acceptable level.
As you suggested, we have cautioned the employees who weigh
them.
