Dear Dr,Kehoe,
I must apologize for not having written you regarding the question of regulations to be issued by the Public Health Depart ment in the Argentine,to govern the manufacture, blending and distribu tion of tetraethyl lead. In actual fact, there has been nothing to report up to the presentsince I was attempting to have Doctor Pavlovsky appointed to the Committee which is to draw up the regulations. You will be interested to knowthat after a visit to the Director of Industrial Hygiene,in the Public Health Department,I finally secured his agreement to Doctor Pavlovsky's appointment.
Doctor Pavlovsky will be guided in his discussions by
the information which you hav9 sent us.and I will advise you in due
course of the outcome of the negotiations,
,
In connection with your memorandum attached to your letter of April 28th,1945,Doctor Pavlovsky has asked me for an indication of the frequency of the determination of the rate of lead excretion of represen tative workers. Obviously,a man cannot be asked to submit excretory sam ples every day for an indefinite period, and we wonder what procedure is followed in the United States, Y/ould you be good enough to clear up this point?.
I take this opportunity to ask you to be good enough to send me a copy of a publication which you sent to Doctor Pavlovsky entitled; "Occupational Lead Exposure and Lead Poisoning" - American Health Associa tion - 1943,
