Your dosimeter results indicated an exposure of 1.60 ppm measured over a 7.95 hour period occurred on the above-mentioned date. A review of job functions being performed would indicate your exposure occurred while you were involved in heel sampling of the VCM ship "Sigurd Jorsalfor", and while investigating a leak at the tank car loading rack. You were protected with fresh air during these operations. This notice is in compliance with OSHA Standard, Title 29, Chapter XVII, Part 1910.93(q), Section (M)(3), Standard for Exposure to Vinyl Chloride. Corrective action that is under study or in engineering stages to reduce the potential of exposure related to heel and finish cargo sampling of VCM ships were included in my letter to you of June 6, 1975.
