In addition to his new responsibilities, most of which formerly were carried on by Harold Eowe, Mr. Merson, a Director of the Company, continues as head of the Sales Developaent Department. TITANIUM DIVISION MANAGEMENT CHANGES Claude F. Garesche has been appointed General Manager of the Titanium Division and D. 'A. Robertson has been named to succeed him as Manager, both appointments becoming effective October 1. COMPANY INTRODUCES NEW PRODUCTS Three new oils and two new lead salts, produced by the Research Laboratories, are being introduced'to prospective users by the Sales Development Department. The new oils are Estersoy P and Mepac S, derived from soya bean oil, and Ssterlin, a linseed oil derivative. The new lead salts are Dythal, a dibasic lead phthalate, and Tri-Mai, a tribasic lead salt. Other new lead products or derivatives introduced in recent months are: Anhydralin, a lead silicate; 45 X Basic Silicate White Lead; Chroaated Red Lead; D S 207, a dibasic lead stearate; L-26, a normal lead salt of 2-ethylhexoic acid; Monosal, a monobasic lead salt; Plumb-O-Sil, a mixture of lead ortho silicate and silica gel; Tribase, a basic lead sulphate; and Normasal, a normal lead salt of salicylic acid. Field, retired former Company Director and Chicago Branch Manager, ciied October 2 in a St. Petersburg, Fla., mospital following a fall in which his hip was fractured. Mr. Field was born June 3, 1857 in Greenfield, Mass. He started work at the Shipman White Lead Works in Chicago as an office boy in 1877, later moving to the shipping and sales departments. After a number of years as a salesman, Mr. Field was made secretary and treasurer of the company and, eventually, president. When the Shipman concern was merged with National Lead in 1892, Mr. Field was appointed comp troller of Chicago Branch, then assistant manager and finally manager in September 1910. Election to the Company directorate followed in Lecembsr of that year. He resigned from the Board April 20, 1933 and retired from all active work on May 1, 1933. In recent years, Mr. Field had been spending considerable time in Florida, after long residence in -Birmingham, Michigan. He is survived by a daughter, Margaret Field Thomas, and a son, Charles Barr Field. STEWART ADDRESSES CANADIAN RESEARCH GROUP Alex.
