Bill, I hope this email finds you well and settling into EPA. I am sure it is a busy time at the Agency for you. As you know, MJB&A facilitates the Clean Energy Group, which currently includes Austin Energy, Calpine, Capital Power, Con Ed, Entergy, Exelon, National Grid, NYPA, PG&E and Tenaska. We have an upcoming meeting in DC on January 9-10th, and I wanted to see if you might have time and be willing to come to speak to the group about key issues you expect the Air Office to be focusing on in 2018. Sarah Dunham, as Acting AA, attend a meeting last year, as the company representatives find it very helpful to understand the Agencies' priorities, expected timing, and key questions on which it is helpful for the companies to provide feedback to EPA. For 2018,1expect some the of key regulations would include the Ozone, New Source Review, CPP repeal and potential replacement, CSAPR, and MATS, but it would also be good to hear about any additional key priorities.
As you may remember, our meetings are generally informal in that it is at a large conference table, speakers usually present for about 20 minutes, and then it turns into more of a discussions with the member companies. We usually meet at PG&E's offices near Gallery Place but if January 9 or 10th do not work for you, we could alternatively look for a date for a smaller group of companies to come to EPA's offices to meet if that is easier for you. Please let me know what might work best for you and of course I am happy to coordinate with your office on logistics.
Thanks, Michael
