Dear Doctor Hammers-
I have your letter of
December 6th and although I am very busy, I am very
much intrigued with the problem presented by the
introduction of lead into steel. Accordingly I
should be very glad to make the necessary arrangements
to give you m y best judgment in connection with any
potential hazards in the operation of your plant. I
think certain additional studies would be required
before I would be justified In giving an opinion.
However any further comments can wait until such time
as I have had an opportunity to see your plant and to
familiarise myself with the problem which presents
itself. If you will let me know when would be a
suitable time to inspect the plant under operating
conditions and to discuss the entire subject, I will
make some suitable disposition of m y time toward that
end. . '
