Sydney, hope all is well with you. I was hoping to connect with you on the phone to discuss the status of this request but I can't seem to get through. The UPA CEO's are anxious to get a meeting with Administrator Pruitt on the books, but knowing he has a busy schedule, would alternatively appreciate the opportunity for a phone call with him to discuss the state of the industry and how EPA can help.
The CEO's will make themselves available any time between now and July 15 for a DC meeting or a phone call with the Administrator.
Feel free to give me a call to talk through the status/details if helpful - 202-742-1925.
Thanks! Kelli

Hi Sydney,
Really appreciate your quick response to our earlier exchange. Wanted to follow up on the UPA meeting request after talking with the Office of Policy. One of the UPA member companies was in just this week and met with Samantha Dravis and had a really good discussion about the state of the domestic uranium industry and the impact that regulations like Part 192 are having on jobs and production levels.

Given that productive discussion, we'd like to bring the rest of the UPA CEO's out to discuss the issue directly with Administrator Pruitt as a follow up. The viability of the domestic uranium industry has implications for both jobs and national and economic security, as we are now dependent on foreign sources for 94% of the uranium needed to power our nuclear reactors. While some of the headwinds the industry faces are market-related, regulations like Part 192 are having a devastating impact.
Would love to work with you to get a meeting on the books for the UPA CEO's and Administrator Pruitt anytime during the month of June. I attached our original meeting request, and included a list of UPA member companies below.
Please let me know if we can provide any further information, and thank you for your consideration.
Kelli

UPA - Pruitt Meeting Request 5.08.17.pdf
Hello Sydney,
My name is Darrin Munoz, I'm with Faegre Baker Daniels here in town and I represent a uranium company based in the West. They would appreciate the opportunity to meet with the Administrator if he is available to discuss EPA policies that have a direct impact on the industry. It is our understanding the Uranium Producers of America is also seeking a meeting with the Administrator regarding similar issues (request attached). We would like to combine both requests into one meeting if possible before July 15th.
If it works out better for the Administrator's schedule we would be willing to do a conference call. We met with Samantha Dravis at EPA and she is aware of our attempt to meet with the Administrator. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Regards,
Darrin R. Munoz Director
