T. Sweeney Mt On June 12 and 13, 1974, Mr. Robert Barrett from OSHA visited the Flemington facilities in his capacity as the compliance officer for the USDL, OSHA, Region 2. As in the case of the Burlington inspection, Mr. Barrett's primary objective was to establish our compliance with the emergency standard for VCM exposure. The writer was only present during the plant tour, which was performed on June 13, 1974, in order to take parallel personal monitoring samples. Prior to the personal monitoring, Mr. Barrett took a tour of the plant with Messrs. J. T. Sweeney, W. Bord, two union representatives and the writer. The following areas were covered: lunchrooms, locker room,shower, (A plug in the shower drain resulted in a citation), dryer building, tank farm, unloading area (pictures taken with a polaroid camera), reactor building. Additional pictures were taken by Mr. Barrett during the testing of the high pressure reactor alarm by G. Freeman and S. Smolenski at Reactor #1 and of the spill alarm monitoring system outside the reactor building. The following is a tabulation of the employees monitored and their jobs performed during the monitoring. In addition the test results are listed which were obtained from the parallel samples taken.
