Williams Suc.ect Asbestos Monitoring in Gasket Shop 512 Construction Replaces letter of October 20 1981 - front page only Gentlemen Attached are the results of the area and personal exposure monitoring done for asbestos in the Gasket Shop - laundry Building 3 of the Construction Department Institute Plant This monitoring was done by the Institute Plant Industrial Hygiene group on October 2 and 9 1981 The last for that the 2 fibers gasket cutting is done infrequently and it would generally a short period of time The results of the survey indicate asbestos exposure in excess of the permissible limit of per centimeter cube of air did not occur The workers did not wear a respiratory protective device while working with the gasket material It is emphasized that all workers wear a disposable 3M 8710 dust respirator which is approved by NIOSH for protection from asbestos exposure Please notify the monitored workers of their exposure results If I can be of further assistance extension 3750 please give me a call at Very truly yours Manhan A.
