Hello Dr. Fu -
Thank you for reviewing the "adjusted budget" for Fudan University. I have attached a new, and slightly increased, Fudan budget adjustment. Lorraine will present this version to the Shanghai sponsor consortium at a meeting today and tomorrow (April 11-12) in Houston. We expect the sponsor consortium to approve these new budgets by mid-year 2005.
API increased the earlier budget adjustment (which you saw) to consider workload issues that we discussed with Rob Schnatter. The new adjustment proposes to increase Fudan's 2004-2007 budget by US $77,885.
Since the budget adjustments are not yet approved by the consortium, the new Fudan University contract uses the current budget (as we discussed). Your new Fudan contract has completed all API reviews, and is waiting for one last API signature from our Chief Financial Officer. This should be sent to you very soon -- when API signatures are complete, I will scan & email a pdf file and send the original by express international mail.
