Rozand File The recent problems at CBS and the desire to supply CBS with satisfactory resin from Flemington make it imperative that we determine Instron rheo logical characteristics of our copolymers. I am submitting to you the following samples for this purpose: 1. Burlington 315 - Lot 615021 (ok at CBS) .2 Burlington 315 - Lot 615022 (ok at CBS) 3. Burlington 315 - Lot 615024 ("bleed-out" at CBS) 4. Burlington 315 - Lot 615030 ("bleed-out" at CBS) .5 Burlington 315 - Lot 615034 ("bleed-out" at CBS) lots 21, 22 and 34 were subjected to higher than normal stripping con ditions. The other lots were stripped in the normal manner. 6. Abbot "copolymer 257" 7. Atlantic Tubing "FPC 4301" These resins worked well at CBS. 8. Burlington 315 - Lot 614024 (June, 1974 production) 9. Flemington 315 - lot 625032 10. Flemington 315 - lot 625057 It is suggested that these be run with the CBS formulation At the same time, Quality Control will determine the other properties of these resins which should relate to rheology, such as acetate content, Brabender melt viscosity, Brookfield viscosity (a CBS test) and relative viscosity.
