Pothapragad'a 18 Noveimber 1980. The CS-2070 was reported t o be the d r i e d s o l i d from CS-2151 which i s 25% s o l i d s i n water. The samples were submi t t e d f o r PPN characterization. CS-2070 was subjected t o thermal analysis and the m e l t i n g /point determined. Experimental : CS-2070 was submitted t o Central Research1 analytic(a1 f o r TGA. The sample was heated i n a i r a t 10"C/mfn. The request # was TA-2497. The m e l t i n g p o i n t o f CS-2070 was determined by C I P A C Method XW2 employi n g a Thomas Hoover Uni-Me1 t apparatus. Resul t s : A copy o f t h e thermal analysis attached indicates only 5%nt. loss by 280C and s t a b l e t o 200OC. The 50%weight loss occurs a t about 370C. TGA Curve attached. The m e l t i n g p o i n t r a n g e i n d i c a t e s l i q u i d f i r s t a t 75OC and complete melt. $t 145" c - The sample appears waxy a t room tempezture. The sample was s o f t through the m e l t i n g range and appeared l i k e a gel. Benzoic a c i d me1ted a t 122OC.
