Moseley installed four decal signs in Portland, Maine and two in Wellesley, Mass* All six of these signs, after six months, are reported in excellent condition, R. D. Bushell reports that eight decal signs installed by Art Acken in Newark were unchanged after three months. Marshall McDorman installed twelve decal signs in Washington, D.C, and at the end of nearly four months nine of the twelve were un changed! one was scratched! one slightly stained and one was damaged by rusting through the paint between the sign. The plastic sign installed by Art Acken w r b found by Radge Bushell to be unchanged after three months. Frank Hayes reports that of four plastic signs installed in Albany! two ware unchanged after twelve months! one shoved slight fading and one had been scratched. Of four plastic signs installed by Fritz Mercer, he reports that three were unchanged after seven months, but one was turning brown. Of four plastic signs Installed by Marshall McDorman in Washington, all four were so brown after six months that they had to be replaced. In conclusion, it seems that if placed on a good, clean surface, decal type signs are quite satisfactory* Results on the plastic signs varied considerably but were generally much less satisfactory.
