R. fc'att - md -------------------- --------------------- On 10/27/58* the following letter was sent to each of the plants: n0ur Bestwall Light Acoustical Plaster was originally formulated using Alexite perlite and directions on the bag are based on tests made on th.'s material* When Alexite was no longer available* we started using Panaoallte perlite which requires somewhat less mixing water* as a result the amounts of water shown In our directions for application on the back of the bag should be changed before ai dltlonal bags are ordered* "Refer to Plaster Bag Manual Direction #D-32* Under spray application 70-80 should be changed to 55-85* Under hand application 60-70 should be changed to 50-60* Hill yen please advise the bag supplier to make these changes*" T&U* If any of you have reordered bags since the date of that letter* they should show the proper amounts of mixing water* However* most of you probably still have some bags ft*om the original shipment which do not show the proper amounts. In two Instances recently* where these bags were used* some trouble has occurred on the job due to trying to use the amount of water shown. As a result* Mr. Abbey has requested that these bags be stamped to show proper amounts of mixing water.
