PLANT RADIO SYSTEM Date: October 20, 1955
I. Purpose
A two-way radio system has been installed in order to improve utilization of manpower, vehicles and materials in the Maintenance Department and to provide better communication facilities for the Night Superintendents.
II. Responsibility
This radio system is under the Jurisdiction' of the Plant , Engineer and he, with his delegated subordinates, is responsible for the maintenance and operation of these facilities in conformance with the rules of the Federal Communications Commission.
III. Equipment
Our base station call designation is "KKO 745". The base station and mobile units operate at an assigned frequency of 152.87 megacycles.
The base station can be operated from the three following remote control units:

Main Guard House Master Mechanic's Office Truck Dispatch Office
A total of l4 mobile units are installed in plant vehicles.
IV. Licensed Operating Personnel
A Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit must be held by any person operating the base station, either directly or by means of a remote control unit. Permits will be issued to our personnel who will need them.
No permit is required in order to operate a mobile unit.
