"The Chemicals Strategy was adopted on 14 October 2020, ogether with a detailed Action Plan including a lst of concrete proposals that will follow from the sirategy and their tentative timing, We would like to thank you again for your valuable suggestions and input, including on how to involve stakeholders more actively in the implementation of the Strategy. Please rest assured that all new legislative initiatives announced in the Strategy will be `underpinned by the Commission's better regulation tools and developed on the basis of `public consultations and thorough impact assessments. Furthemore, the Commission has anounced that it will establish a high-level roundtable with representatives from industry. science and the civil society to realise the srategy's objectives in dialogue with the stakeholders concerned. The roundiable discussions are envisaged to focus, in particular, on how to make the chemicals legislation work more efficiently and effectively and how to boost the development and uptake of innovative safe and sustainable chemicals across sectors "The Commission is in the process of discussing the details of the establishment and working methodsof the roundiable. You and other relevant stakeholders will be informed about the way forward in due time.
