Mr. J. 4. Dowdy, Dlraotor of Sale*, Anaconda Load Producta Company, 111 W*t Washington 3t., Chicago, 111.
D*r Mr. Dowdy:
I have your favor of th* 22nd and I am perfeotly willing to hare oar registration of the brand nAnaoonda " Transferred to your Company if yoa deair*. I do not think it would ha wall to oanoal it because really the Trade Marie Bureau of the National Paint, Oil & Tarnish Association la merely for the protection of its mambars. It has nothing to do with the Trade Marks registered by the United States.
Ton can rest assured that we recognise the ownership of the Anaconda Lead Products Company of the trad* mark "Anaconda," and have not the slightest intention of doing anything to interfere with that trade mark. It would seem to me that the simplest thing to do would be to giro yen an assignment of any supposed right we may hare, and this could be registered with the Trade Mark Bureau of the Hational P.O.fc T.Assn. I think if we ask to hare it cancelled some Jealous minded people in the trade might think we were no longer distributing Anaoonda Lead in Oil.

Tours truly, (signed) Adrian D. Jsyoe,
