X have not approached the people at the Dayton Power and Bight Garage as yet concerning the possibility of seme further in** vestlgation of their men* and X am rather glad I have not done so in view of the situation, which seems apparent in connection with the production of the mixed lead compounds. In view of the mass of work which we have at present* It would seem desirable to begin our observations at around the first of the new year. There would be an additional advantage in doing this since if we were to make six months preliminary observations* we would have an opportunity to see the effects of both winter and summer conditions; If then we were to study the effect of the new compound for a corresponding period* we would have an opportunity to see the seasonal effects In reverse order, in as much as the seasonal effects upon lead excretion are significant* it would be necessary to take them into account. This short delay would give us an opportunity to get some of our other work in order and it would also give Dr. Callngaert some further time for such preparations as are required. If we can see our way toward carrying out this project* it would then seem logical to begin the observations on the new mix two ,, in . July,or thereabouts*of next year.
