Parlett J, M* Barnhart The Eagle-Picher Company Baldwin-Ehret-Hill Inc, NIMA NIMA PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION It was agreed that the following markings would be used to identify the flexible blanket products: 3 marks - 1/2 pcf to, but not including 3/4 pcf material, nominal density, 2 marks - 3/4 pcf to, but not including 1 pcf material, nominal density, t mark - 1 pcf to, but not including 1-1/4 pcf material, nominal density. The marks will be made along the length of the blanket, Mr, R, L, Schneider will investigate the method and type of marking to ( be used and his proposal will be circulated to the Committee for comments prior to the next meeting. 2 PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR FACINGS FOR BLANKET INSULATION Mr, Barnhart was asked to prepare a list of properties for facings and circulate it to the Committee for their comments, O, D, *S OF GLASS FIBER MOLDED-TYPE PIPE INSULATION Mr, W, Gubar agreed to prepare a table showing the O, D, Js of glass fiber molded-type pipe insulation (I.P.S,) and circulate it to the Committee for their comments, REVISIONS TO MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS v/ It was agreed that Military Specifications MIL-I-22344, MIL-I-22023 and MIL-I 742A should be revised to include three products of different fiber diameter, i.e., 0,00018", 0, 00028" and 0. 0038", The..various "k" values and densities have to be obtained to correspond to these diameters.
