After placing additional emphasis on this area in the third quarter and annual inspections, it appears to be under control. However, it is submitted that an official policy statement should be included in the "Guide for Accident Prevention." ALL SAMPLE CONTAINERS WHICH CONTAIN HAZARDOUS (FLAMMABLE, CORROSIVE, OR TOXIC) OR UNIDENTIFIED MATERIALS MAY NOT BE STORED IN ANY OFFICE AREA. ALL SAMPLES ARE TO BE STORED IN A LAB OR A DESIGNATED CONTROLLED STORAGE AREA. CHEMICALS WHICH ARE REQUIRED FOR OFFICE TASKS (COPY AND BLUEPRINT MACHINES) ARE ACCEPTABLE IF STORED IN PROPER AND LABELED CONTAINERS.
