Res. 1
In your risk analysis for the WGK Aroclor Expansion project, you list on the worksheet under heading J.a.l. the possibility that there will be an inadequate supply of catalyst to the #6
chlorinator and under J.b.l. the possibility of unstable prod uct. For both these you list as the trigger to signal trouble. "Lab analysis indicates unstable product or off-spec material." It would seem to me that a much earlier warning of trouble in these areas could be obtained by analyzing the contents of the FeCl3 mix tank and the #6 chlorinator to determine the
concentration of catalyst present in them. Low catalyst level will produce unstable material. I recommend that cata
lyst level in #6 chlorinator be determined regularly to give early warning of liklihood of unstable product being produced. Perhaps the FeCl3 mix tank should be analyzed regularly too.
