The most significant findings were: (a) A bronchogenic carcinoma was found in John Medlock who had been employed at the Pittsburgh Coming Plant for less than two years. This employee has been seen in consultation by a thoracic surgeon who has recommended diagnos tic studies and possible decortication but this has not been dona. Jf) Several employees had changes consistent with chronle obstructive up8 disease with mild to moderate obstructive ventilatory defect. r' Approximately three employees had changes consistent with mild fibrosis. The number may actually be slightly more depending on how critically one reads minor increases in bronchovascular markings. (e) The steady state diffusion studies will have to be repeated. He has re quested to borrow the x-rays although they have not been sent yet. Z perceive from your letter and from conversations with Dr. Johnson that there is some difficulty between the two of you.
