APRIL 1, 1937 FOREWORD This bulletin covers in outline the proceedings of the annual meeting of Air Hygiene Foundation, held at Mellon Institute, Pittsburgh, Pa., February 9, 193?. Appended are recommendations by the three major com mittees--Medical, Preventive Engineering, and Legal--for re searches which are agreed to be of immediate importance. Some of the projects can be completed in a few months, others will require several years. The Board of Trustees has approved the program, contingent upon the raising of the necessary funds. Dues from the pres ent membership, upon the modest scale in effect for 1937, will be insufficient to finance the work. It is hoped that enough additional industrial concerns will affiliate to make it possible to proceed with these studies which are of vital importance to industry. H. B. MELLER AIR HYGIENE FOUNDATION OF AMERICA, INC. ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS Pursuant to the provisions of the Code of Regulations and notice given to each member, the annual meeting of the mem bers of Air Hygiene Foundation of America, Incorporated, was held February 9, 1937, at Mellon Institute of Industrial Re search, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Roger A. Hitchins, Chairman, presided, and Henry A. Middleton acted as Secretary. Seventy-one out of a total of one hundred forty-three mem ber companies were present, either by proxy or by personal representative authorized to vote. The following individual members also were present: Roger A. Hitchins C. E. Lesher H. A. Schultz R. R. Sayers, M.D. B. D, Saklatwalla V. P. Ahearn A. W. Sherwood W, P. Yant The membership roll was called and all proxies presented were inspected and approved. The minutes of the special meeting of members, held No vember 24, 1936, were read and, on motion, approved. Reports from the Treasurer, the Managing Director, and the Research Committee were received and, on motion, approved. The Chairman then called for election of trustees and asked that, pursuant to the provisions of the Code of Regulations, the members first fix by vote the number of trustees who shall constitute the Board for the ensuing year. By unanimous vote of the members present, it was ordered that the Board for the ensuing year consist of twenty trustees.
