October 13, 2005 Dear Principal Investigators, The Shanghai Health Study Technical Committee (TC) has discussed the current process for submission of papers. The TC believes it is not necessary for us to receive papers prior to their acceptance for publication. We would be amenable to changing the respective research protocols to that effect. We would, however, appreciate receiving a copy of each paper as soon as it is accepted for publication. Please direct a copy of the accepted paper to Bruce Jarnot who will distribute it to the sponsor companies.
