CORPORATION
Consistent quality in Industrial Insulation for two decades.
We regret that an error was made concerning the location of sample number 13915 dated 02/24/92. On this date, employee # 439-11-1161 was working in Power I not in Power II as was stated in the attached Asbestos Monitoring Data Results and Louisiana Division Industrial Hygiene Sample Record. Please note correction and file with attached erroneous documents.
If you have any further questions, please contact me at ext. 6300.
Thank you.

Note: Th Limit of Quantitation has been defined as 100 Fibers/MM2 using the minimum fiber loading criteria specified. In the NIOSH analytical method 7400, the stated range of the method Is 100 to 1300 Flbers/MM2 inter area Although samples below this range can be analyzed, the method has not been validated below 100 Flbers/MM2. However, the NIOSH method 7400 also establishes the estimated Limit ol Detection as 7 FIbers/MM2 (Reference OSHA Std. 1910.1001, Appendix B). Based on this Information, we win establish 100 Ftoers/MM2 filter area as our Limit of Quantitation and 7 Ffbers/MM2 Alter area as our Limit ol Detection (which is more representative of the actual fibers present) lor asbestos monitoring. We will report both Limit of Quantitation and Limit of Detection.
If only Limit of Quantitation were expressed, the minimum reportable result would calculate to be 0.04 Fibers per cc lor an 6-hr. Time weighted average sample at a flow rate of 2 liters per minute and 0.6 fibers per cc tor a 30 minute ttm weighted average short term sample at a flow rate of 2 liters per minute.
