Sanders R. V. Sharp eCi G. L. Tromblee File The regular weekly SHAC meeting was called to order by D. Barfoot on 5/15/85 in the VIP conference room. Interlock By-Passing Procedure D. Barfoot proposed that the procedure address the following points: 1. How should by-passing of safety interlocks which are part of a normal start up be handled. If this is now part of the Standard Operating Procedure it should be exempt from requiring superintendent approval. R. Hammann to follow up. 2. The procedure should specify what mechanism should be used to designate by-passing authority levels when the superintendent is not available. R. Hammann to follow up. Breathing Air and Special Permits D. Barfoot pointed out that if a contractor is required to wear breathing air equipment, should we also require a special permit? This would provide an "extra pair of eyes" to eval uate a potentially dangerous situation. Hazardous Material Matrix Review Committee R. Hammann reported that the committee was complete and would convene soon. Annual Safety and Housekeeping Inspection Date to be set up for next September. R. Hammann to coordinate timing. Third Quarter SHI set for August Dates to be announced later by D. Barfoot. Sanders plans to issue an action plan highlighting milestones by the end of May. Off the Job Injuries The committee reviewed three booklets presented by R. Hammann. Estimated cost for plant wide distribution would be $350.00. R. Hammann will review (with G. Tromblee) the booklets and concept of presenting off the job injury details to the plant during safety meetings. Job Safety Analysis The committee recommended that the six manufacturing specialists be included in J.S.A. training. Vendor Safety Film D. Barfoot pointed out that the vendor most likely is not familiar with the term "instruction point" and recommended that it be emphasized that he report to the nearest control room. 8,715,815 Hrs. Safety Target R. Hammann announced that target should be reached in late October. D. Jordan will modify sign to highlight our progress. EPP Drill 1 ttl R. Hammann presented organization chart for the EPP drill to be held on May 23rd. (Attached) There will be a final briefing in the Cafeteria Conference room at 1300 on May 23.
