I acknowledge with thanks receipt of your isonsorandira of
August 3 with regard to the proposed article on cleaning leaded
gasoline storage tanks, while I think the article is splendid,
nevertheless I see no particular benefit derived from publicising
the hazards attending our business and X would therefore be of the
opinion that it would be Inadvisable to have your article published.
On;the other hand, X think such an article could be used directly
to that personnel in our customer organizaiibhp \^hG are directly
concerned with the cleaning of tanks and alsOxit\aouid be used as an
article for our safety engineers. X^Jtould prafur^to see information
on our safety problems handled directly; to the soOx<o where hazards
occur rather than to go in a round abdub way of publishing sane for
general public information.

I also acknowledges your other ab^orandua of the same date
with regard to Dr. liehoe's c^msats an Ambler Brothers blending at
races. I hardly concur in hi's^^etyai
X also ackn.owled.gc. receipt''of your latter of August 3 with regard to the list X fuihishe'd you on the transfer of Fluid between customers mixing points Ylhlle most of these may have reached the attention of |Sr. Gonzales,x-ner'ertheless I do think that it would be of some benefit to trace each of the transactions toward the and of ascertaining if proper means of transportation and correct safety procedures were used. This is what X had in mind mainly when X wrote you previously. Please let ta know therefore if you are willing to proceed on this basis or if we should take the iaitative and start the investigation from this end. I would prefer that you handle it, inassiueh as your safety engineers would be of valuable aid in following the matter through to conclusion.
