Hart 6/5/86 Asbestos Exposure to Employees. The Asbestos Task Force for The Mar.ley Cooling_ Tower Company is trying to ascertain the identities of employees still on our payroll, who may have had a significant exposure to asbestos during their tenure. It is difficult to define "significant exposure" specifically. We are primarily interested in those employees who have been exposed to asbestos fiber generation in the normal course of their jobs at one time or another over the past 30 years. We are obviously looking for long tenure employees whose asbestos exposure may have been significant enough to jeopardize their health and well-being. Sales and Construction are also going through this exercise. Everyone reacts differently to this exposure. The identification process is intended as a starting point. From there we are discussing periodic physicals designed to pinpoint the symptoms of diseases associated with asbestos. We hope to have a corporate policy on this in the near future. I would like the following information for each identified "present" employee: 1) name 2) age 3) # of years with company 4) when asbestos exposure occurred 5) description of exposure (cutting SCB, etc.) and 6) duration of exposure in years (ex. 1961 - 1963).
