LtBRARY COMPUTER SEARCH: TOX 1 LOG 1 CAL PRODUCTS FROM ENVIRONMENTAL DECOMPOSITION OF PVC
The purpose of this search (by John Foell) was to locate published articles which stated that environmental decomposition products of PVC were "safe". In summary, no such article was found although we do have articles in hand stating that PVC is inert under environmental conditions in the absence of sunli'ght. In the presence of sunlight these articles further state that HC! and polyenes are formed. However, no statement in any article so far located assesses the relative toxicology of these decomposition products by environmental degradation.
What follows is a hreak down of the aforementioned library search given for documentation purposes should future searches be made.
