Sun-Tron Principle of Comfort Heating The Sun-Tron Comfort Heating Principle is engineered to bal ance equally the creation of radiant head and convected heat by the electrical resistance elements. This 50-50 ratio is incorpo rated in all Sun-Tron wall units. Radiant heating has the advantage of directly warming every thing which absorbs the infrared rays emitted. Just as the sun, which is the prime soure of radiant heat, can warm you on a cold winter day. so does the radiant surface of the Sun-Tron unit warm people and objects io the room where it is installed. A high radiant effect will create a comfort situation at lower air temperatures and can respond faster to temperature changes. Convected heat has the advantage of warming the air directly and distributing warm air currents where required. Thus it is possible to distribute a concentrated heat in a restricted area. This is required where there arc large heat losses near windows and doors. The Sun-Tron Comfort Heating Principle of 50 per cent radiant and 50 per cent convected heat is unmatched in the electric heatiDg industry. Sun-Tron Electric Heating Units Sun-Tron Electric Heating Units have a fast response to the heat demands of the thermostats. When properly installed, there is minimum cycling and overshooting of the comfort tempera ture as is so common with warm air heating systems and slow response electric systems. Sun-Tron Electric Radiant Heating Units are designed to a comfort principle of 50% radiant heat and 50% convection heat. Thus, the units are capable of combating the cold down flow from window areas as well as providing a bath of radiant warmth around the entire room near the floor level. Sun-Tron Electric Heating Elements are manufactured with the highest grade resistance wire formed in a flat pattern pressed between two layers of mica insulation and encased in a steel sheath. A cover frame added last covers all of the first two components.
