The "b" jet was used only, for routine analysis and during dual column operation. The jets have been In use since Ootober, 1968. The detector tesperature ranged from 800 - 3Q0G at various times. AH tha results dasorlbad gives rise to tha theory that the back ground contamination is paused by a resetIon of tha eluting vinyl ohlorlde vlth tha copper.
