8 this case where we asked them when they first
9 determined that another material could be used in
10 place of asbestos, and their response was the first
11 Ford application of nonasbestos brakes was on light
12 trucks in approximately 1976.
13 Other Ford makes presently utilize
14 fiberglass, steel wool and semimetallic materials.
15 The response to interrogatory number 39 in
16 this case where we asked Ford what trade organizations
17 they belong to, and Ford stated that they had a
18 membership from January of 1947 through December 1974
19 in the Industrial Health Foundation, formerly known as
