Winchester In order to correctly handle the shipment of surplus 5K asbestos from Plant 2 to Plant 4, we supplied Plant 2 with fifty reusable wooden asbestos storage pallets. Seventeen of these pallets were returned to us with ^asbestos stacked on them. The remainder of the asbestos was shipped on the metal green pallets. This has caused us two costly problems: r 1. We are missing thirty-three wooden skids valued at $5.00 each. 2. We must restack all the asbestos shipped on the green pallets (60,000#). The green pallets simply will not fit into our mixing room. It was for this reason that we sent you the reusable wooden pallets in the first place The net result has been that the transferring of asbestos from Plant 2 has been unnecessarily expensive. 3 We are making our Controller, Mr. Jerry Quenzer, ' aware of this situation so that he may transfer these excessive costs (labor $85) to the proper plant accounts.
